Riyad made his first appearance as a soloist with an orchestra at the age of ten in Aleppo. Since then, he has performed with many orchestras including the London Chamber Orchestra at the Cadogan Hall, Emirate Symphony Orchestra in Dubai, Young Musician Symphony Orchestra at St. John's Smith Square, Todmorden Sympgony Orchestra, the Syrian National Symphony Orchestra and at the opening of the new Damascus Opera House and the Syrian Expat Symphony Orchestra, as well as with the Gomidas Chamber Orchestra of Aleppo.

     Riyad has given solo recitals in many prestigious venues in London, including Royal Albert Hall, Wigmore Hall, St. Martin-in-the-Fields, St. James’s Piccadilly, and Leighton House. He has been regularly invited to perform at over 50  prestigious music societies in at the UK including Beethoven Society of Europe and the Chopin Society amongst many others. He has also been invited to perform in numerous UK musical festivals such as Harrogate, Norfolk-Norwich, King’s Lynn, Brighton, Devon, Darlington, Stratford-upon-Avon, Lincoln, Crediton, and Eastbourne . Concert performances have also taken him to France, Spain, Switzerland, USA (including a debut at the Kennedy Centre and Chicago Culture Center). and some Arab States.

     Besides solo performances, Riyad is also a keen chamber music player, and has performed regularly in duos with violin and flute, collaborating with artists including the eminent flautist Wissam Boustany.

Riyad  has been  selected recently to be a Tillett Trust Young Artist  and an artist at the Countess of Munster Trust Concert Scheme at the UK. Riyad has won numerous international prizes and awards including First Prize with a recording contract at the Francaix International Piano Competition in Paris and the first prize at the Norah Sande Award in the UK, the Christopher Duke Recital Prize in the UK and the Ciutat de Carlet International Piano Competition in Spain. He also won Second Prize at the Seiler International Piano Competition in Greece, Educational Award Prize at The London International Piano competition and was a finalist at the Busoni International Piano Competition.

Riyad gained a considerable experience from being appointed as an official piano teacher a the Junior Department of the Guildhall School of Music since September 2017 and also the Finchley Music School in London since 2012 (teaching both group piano lessons and one-to-one) to students from age 4 till 18 years . 

His teaching qualifications include LRAM degree for teaching from the Royal Academy of Music, Master degree from the Royal College of Music, Bachelor degree from the Royal Academy of Music and A level in music at Purcell School. 

In the past, his students have successfully passed various diploma exams including entry exams for prestigious music colleges such as the Royal College of Music and won important prizes in competitions.
